Rachel began her career with Jan-Care at age 15, assisting with office filing and claims for the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA). Over the course of her career, she has served in a variety of roles, including Biller, Billing Supervisor, Executive Assistant to the Chief of Operations, Dispatch Director, Director of Medical Support, Communications Director, Director of Accounts Receivable, and Chief of Staff. Rachel was one of four individuals who helped establish Jan-Care’s first Medical Support initiative, which prescreened non-emergency calls for medical necessity and helped determine the most appropriate level of transportation for each patient. She was also instrumental in the administration, training, and implementation of Electronic Patient Care Reporting and has continued to contribute to Jan-Care’s administrative, operational, billing, and communication efforts throughout her career. Rachel holds CAC, CACO, CAPO, and NREMT credentials and has completed leadership training through the University of Charleston, earning a certificate in leadership.
