Getting Started: Entry-Level EMS Training
Jan-Care offers entry-level pathways including Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator (EMVO) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training.
Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator (EMVO)
Certification is offered through the Jan-Care Ambulance Training Center. EMVO training includes mass-casualty response, hazardous materials, first aid, CPR, driving instruction, and three days of ride-along experience with an EMS crew.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
The EMT course is a 165-hour hybrid program combining computer-aided learning, face-to-face labs, and field experience. The certification examination is through the National Registry of EMTs. Jan-Care offers the course through its employee tuition program, including course materials and certification-related fees.
